Child Supervision At Diamond Valley

12 Mar by AJ Murphy

Hi everyone,

We have recently received feedback from the management team at Diamond Valley Sports & Fitness Centre regarding an increase in unsupervised children throughout the facility during domestic competition times.

Examples that have been reported include:

- Children entering the gym area
- Running through hallways and the facility yelling and swearing
- Interfering with squash court users by opening doors during play
- Entering restricted areas and leaving rubbish

We ask all clubs to please remind their teams and parents that:

• Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times
• Children should remain in spectator areas or courts while games are in progress
• Gym areas and other spaces are restricted to authorised users
• Respect must be shown to all facility users

If this behaviour continues, the venue may be required to introduce additional restrictions or supervision requirements, which we would prefer to avoid.

We appreciate clubs assisting us in reinforcing this message with their teams and families.

Thanks everyone for your support.

- Pat Di Lizio, General Manager, Diamond Valley Basketball
